The French celebrate la Toussaint on November 1st. Do some online research and find out what it is and what they do. Be prepared to tell the class about it.
Happy Hallowe'en! On textbook pages 108 and 109, do exercises 2, 3, and 4. Two and Three are mostly practice with the days of the week. (Check your notebook for the list.) Number Four is practice answering more complex sentences, but they are all ones that you should be able to do. Use the question to help you form your answer! You know how to conjugate the verbs they are using. Remember, "combien" means "how much" or "how many."
Bon weekend! Allez Norco! On textbook pages 103-104, do exercises 8 and 9. Write your answers in the fourth section of your notebook.
Bonne journée! In the textbook pages 102-103, do exercises 6 and 7. Write your answers (complete sentences!) in the fourth section of your notebook. Follow the models and read the directions. Yes, really!
Bonne journée On page 100 of the textbook, do exercises 2 and 3. Answer the questions using complete sentences (follow the model). Write your responses in the fourth section of the notebook. If you forget the words, go back and look at the previous pages in the text, especially page 97.
Bonne journée! Write vocabulary list #10 from Quizlet one time each in the vocabulary section of your notebook. These are the same as the words of the day from Friday and Monday. You will need to study these for the next vocabulary test, so go on Quizlet and practice them.
Bonne journée! See the packet that was handed out on Monday. I suggest doing a few pages a day. It is due next Monday when I return. Also, please finish the café menu and turn that in to the pink basket in the class marked "les devoirs."
Passez une bonne semaine et soyez sage! (Have a good week and behave yourselves!) Please create your own menu for a French café or bistro. Give the place a name ("Café des Fleurs" or something appealing like that), and choose what (mostly) French foods to serve. Use the lists in the textbook to give you ideas for the foods and the prices (in Euros).
Create this on a piece of paper at least 8.5" x 11". You can do it on the computer or draw it by hand. Pictures/photos are optional, but you should definitely have color of some kind (like using crayons/markers/colored pencils and/or doing it on colored paper). It should be folded in half or in thirds. Impress me with your original ideas! You will get points for both effort and accuracy. Bon weekend! Write the vocabulary from list #8 one time each in the vocabulary section of your notebook. Study that vocabulary with Quizlet or whatever method helps you the most. There is a quiz on Friday!
Also, your notebooks are due this Friday, too. Bonne journée! |
