Review your entire notebook up to this point for the Chapter One test. You can also review the first chapter of the textbook to cover those same skills. Make sure you know the vocabulary from the first three Quizlet lists.

Conjugate the verbs "avoir" (to have), "jouer" (to play), and "étudier" (to study) in the present tense on one index card each. See your previous cards with "aimer" and "parler" to remember how it should look. Write them in pencil if you're not sure. We can correct them tomorrow.
Study list #3 on Quizlet, the days and the months, for the vocabulary test tomorrow. Bonne journée! Logon to Quizlet and practice with list #3 "Days and Months." Read and practice the useful expressions on the handout.
Make sure your notebook is up to date. The next notebook check is this Friday, September 2. Bonne journée! Recopy all the words from the warm-ups of the last three days (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) into the Vocabulary section of your notebook. That should include the list of colors, the days of the week, the months of the year, the -er verbs, and today's school words. Write the words and their definitions one time each.
Be sure to write "Semaine 3" and today's date at the top of the list! Bon weekend! In your textbook, do pages 12 and 13 (exercises 1 through 5). Write your answers in the fourth section of your notebook ("Le Travaille en Classe"). Be sure to write "Semaine 3" and the date.
Bonne journée! Finish the "classroom commands" page.
Keep practicing the alphabet, the numbers, and the greetings and introductions vocabulary. Bonne journée! Recopy the list of this week's vocabulary in the third section of your notebook (the vocabulary section). That means rewrite the 25-30 words from the list #2 "Numbers" in Quizlet, which most of you copied down today during warm-ups (or took a photo of the screen). Remember, you will have a vocabulary quiz tomorrow on these words, including the numbers from zero to twenty. I suggest you practice the words using Quizlet, as well.
Bonne chance! Please write the French words for the colors under the appropriate picture/word. Please color the pictures with the matching colors.
Bonne journée! Complete the handout on the days of the week and the months of the year (both sides of the page). Read the directions!
Keep practicing the alphabet, the numbers, and the other vocabulary on the Quizlet list #2. There will be a quiz on Wednesday. Go to Learn French with Alexa on YouTube to practice your pronunciation. Bon weekend! Practice saying the alphabet out loud (use "Learn French with Alexa" to help you with pronunciation). Practice saying and writing the numbers, especially one to twenty. Practice the greetings on pages 3-5 of the textbook C'est a toi!
Make sure your notebook is ready to be checked tomorrow. I'll give you a cookie if you come in on Friday and give me the code word "grenouille" (greh-new-ee = frog). Bonne journée! |
