Make sure you have your group of four people to practice improvising short scenes. Write yourself some notes about what you learned in class today, so you will ready when I quiz you.
Go on Quizlet and start reviewing the vocabulary for the quiz on Friday. You might have noticed that some of the terms Mr. G. mentioned were from our vocab. lists! Have a good day! Read through your "cold reading" monologue at least once or twice more tonight, especially any words that you have trouble pronouncing. Remember, you don't have to read the instructions to the actor in parentheses. Tomorrow the rest of the class will read their texts.
Have a good day! Write one sentence for each of the vocabulary words from List #3 (which is available on this site under "Theatre files"). Write these in your composition books and be sure to write the date at the top. I will check this tomorrow.
Happy Monday! Spend at least 20 minutes finishing a story that begins, "No one could blame her for trying. The ring was just sitting on the counter, begging to be stolen."
Write it in your composition book and write the date at the top. Have a great weekend! Now that you know how to use Quizlet, download the app or practice with it on your home computer. Tomorrow (Friday) is the next vocab. quiz. So be ready!
Have a good day! I will be in B-24 for Back to School night tonight, so have your parents come find me there.
If you already have a Quizlet account, it's easy to find this class if you search by my last name (be sure to spell it correctly). Otherwise, we will set that up in the computer lab tomorrow. Have a good day! If you didn't do Monday's homework, you will get half credit if you turn it in Wednesday. After that it is zero.
If you have not yet performed your poem/monologue, please be ready to present tomorrow. Not doing this assignment and others like it is not an option. Have a good day! Write one sentence for each of the vocabulary words from List #2 (which is available on this site under "Theatre files"). Write these in your composition books and be sure to write the date at the top. I will check this tomorrow.
Be ready to present your poem/monologue! Don't stare directly at the Sun, ever. Happy Monday! Be prepared to recite your poem or monologue by Monday. Students who are prepared to go first will get bonus points. Be sure to practice in front of the mirror. Think about HOW you are performing your piece (voice projection, facial expression, eye contact, expression in your voice and delivery, body position, and memorization).
Have a lovely weekend! |
